Clubs & Interest Groups

Shearwater is proud to expand lifestyle programming by allowing residents the opportunity to facilitate their own resident clubs and interest groups. To put your own personal touch on the community, you can start your own or simply join an existing one. There are many clubs and interest groups already available to you and your neighbors, and you can find out more about each one by viewing the information below.

Landscaping Club

Ladies Book Club

Ladies CrossFit Club

Ladies Tennis Team

The Ladies Tennis Team plays the First Coast Tennis D League circuit. Our team provides opportunities for women within Shearwater to play competitively against other neighboring tennis teams. We currently have all experience levels from beginner to the more advanced. Social games are scheduled throughout the week for casual play and those looking to meet new people and play with friends. It’s all about improving your tennis game, getting great exercise, making new friends, and having fun. As our community grows, we hope to add more competitive leagues and grow as a well-respected and loved tennis community. We hope to see you on the courts. Go Shearwater! Trout Creek Tennis Club

Tennis pros and beginners alike will love the Trout Creek Tennis Club! Each week, men and women meet up on Shearwater’s Har-Tru tennis courts for social and exhibition matches. Learn a little from a more experienced player, practice your serve with a partner, or just get some exercise and fresh air while having fun with friends and neighbors. Pacesetters Fitness Group

The Pacesetters is the perfect fitness group for residents interested in getting together for low-impact cardio classes. From indoor workouts in the Group Fitness Room to water aerobics in the Lap Pool, if you need adaptive exercise due to any reason then this is the class for you. PEAK Fitness Group

Reach higher summits in the Fitness Lodge the PEAK Fitness Group! PEAK is a fitness group that focuses on plyometrics-based training, which combines high-intensity workouts and strength training for men and women of all fitness levels. Running is Our Therapy: Running Club

Step outside to enjoy our extensive trail system while you workout! The Trailblazers Running Group currently meets on select Saturdays. Runners of all abilities are encouraged to meet in front of the HUB to enjoy running throughout the Shearwater trail system. Sharks Swim League

 
The Shearwater Sharks Swim Team is a non profit summer swim team formed and managed by Shearwater residents. We will compete in The St. Johns Summer Swim League (SJSSL). SJSSL is a summer swim league dedicated to providing quality, recreational swim events for the nine (9) member teams, comprising nearly 1,500 swimmers from the northern St. Johns County area. The SJSSL promotes good sportsmanship, swimming excellence, and positive self-esteem in all swimmers with an emphasis on individual progress, healthy living, team unity and family participation. The league welcomes all levels of swimmers, from novice to year-round level. Garden Club

Are you looking to develop your green thumb? Experienced gardeners and beginners will love the Garden Club. Consider joining your resident gardeners by adopting your garden bed in the community garden. We eat what we grow. Spanish Speaking Club "Los Interesados"

Strong Roots Mom Club

Members of the Strong Roots Mom Club believe that “strong roots create beautiful leaves,” and meet around the community with their toddlers in tow. This group does double duty, letting the kids play, socialize and make lifelong friends while mom gets some much-needed grownup time with friends of her own.
