As a Certified Personal Trainer and Aerobics Instructor, my objective is to assist each and every one of my clients in achieving their health and fitness goals. I started my career in health and fitness at the age of 19. I earned my Associates Degree at South Florida Community College in Avon Park, Florida. While I attended Community College I worked as an Exercise Tech at the Florida Hospital Haywood Fitness Center. I designed individual workout programs for new members and instructed a variety of group fitness classes.
Two years later, I transferred to the University of North Florida, Jacksonville. During my two years at UNF, I completed one year of Athletic Training where I worked with several athletic teams in the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of a variety of athletic injuries, interned in the ER at Shands Jacksonville, and worked with countless fitness professional. I graduated in August of 2004 and began my career as a personal trainer.
Only a few months later I met the requirements of the International Fitness Trainers Association and became certified to practice. I have been working with motivated individuals from that day on, accomplishing a number of health and fitness goals. I find nothing more rewarding in my career then the fulfillment of helping someone enhance his or her life thru proper health and fitness. With the knowledge and expertise of a Certified Personal Trainer, no goal is too high to reach.
As a former professional baseball player, fitness has always been a part of my life. I can remember as a 5 year old child doing push-ups and dips using my fireplace. As an athlete my health and fitness have been an important part of my daily routine. I enjoy my personal workouts but also get a sense of accomplishment by helping others in the gym, with new exercises and techniques.
I Played infield for half a season for the Springfield Capitals and was then signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Continued with the Pirates for a year and half then returned to the Capitals. Earned most outstanding player, sluggers award and the gold glove award for the year. Also hit 15 home runs, a personal best. I later played for a professional California league.
I recently completed my certification to become a Certified Personal Trainer through the Interactive Fitness Trainers of America. I look forward to starting my career as a Personal Trainer. I believe my experience and love of fitness will truly help all my clients reach their goals.
